Proper dental health is more important than you might realize.
Did you know that poor dental health and the lack of basic dental care can lead to many serious medical problems, including heart disease, birth complications, pneumonia and diabetes? It’s true.
And did you know that nearly 75 million Americans don’t have dental insurance, and are unable to pay for much-needed dental services? That’s true, as well.
OVP HEALTH CARE and Marshall Health believe all adults and children should have access to basic dental care, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. That’s why they’ve joined forces in a unique partnership to provide high quality, affordable dental services for anyone in the Huntington/Tri-State region.
This partnership combines the administrative efficiency and expertise of OVP HEALTH CARE with the clinical skills and experience of Marshall Health dental professionals to create the ideal solution for extending access to vital dental care to people who’ve been unable to afford it in the past.

What we offer.
In affiliation with Marshall Health, OVP HEALTH CARE DENTISTRY offers the following dental services:
- \Basic adult and pediatric (child) dental care
- \Dental examinations
- \Dental x-rays
- \Uncomplicated tooth extractions
- \Treatment of cavities (fillings)
- \Teeth cleanings
If patients require more complex dental procedures, they can be referred to other dental professionals and specialists at Marshall Health.
Our Dental Professionals
Your role in good dental health…
The best way to ensure good dental health is by preventing problems with your teeth and gums in the first place. And at OVP HEALTH CARE DENTISTRY, we’ll take the time to explain how you can do that by practicing good oral hygiene daily, including the following steps.
- Brushing your teeth at least twice each day, for two minutes each time, using a soft-bristled brush and fluoride toothpaste.
- Flossing daily.
- Using mouthwash to remove food particles after brushing and flossing.
- Eating a healthy diet and limiting sugary food and drinks.
- Replacing your toothbrush every three or four months, or sooner if bristles are worn.
- Scheduling regular dental checkups and cleanings.
- Avoiding tobacco use.
Also, it’s important to contact your dentist as soon as you experience a problem with your teeth or gums. Our dental health professionals are here to help you, but they can’t do that if you don’t reach out to us.
